Our task is to create an environment that gives each child a feeling of security and happiness while encouraging curiosity, exploration, and experimentation – the stepping stones to learning. We want our children to become confident, independent, and eager to greet the possibilities of each new day.

This preschool is truly one-of-a-kind. Our son attended for two years and had the most wonderful experience in every way. The teaching staff is the best of the best, the play-based curriculum includes everything from art and music to math and science. The emphasis on social/emotional development is very strong and the sense of community among the families is wonderful!!

My 4 year old just finished camp at The Ross Preschool. Wow! The teachers are amazing. It was 100% outdoors with so many fun and educational activities that kept my son so engaged. He ran to camp every day with such enthusiasm. Every day seemed to be a new adventure, with wonderful arts and crafts, stem projects, read alouds, and lots of choice time and opportunities for kids to grow their social skills with other friends.

While it is a beautiful school with a great outdoor space- it is all about the teachers and the warm and loving environment they create. There is also a very strong parenting community that come from different towns in central Marin. The Ross Preschool is a progressive 501(c)3 non-profit preschool (with a Pre-Kindergarten program) filled with happy children engaged in playful learning. Our child-directed, play-based, and nature oriented curriculum is designed to address the developmental needs of preschool and pre-kindergarten children. With a special focus on “21st Century Skills,” our engaging learning curriculum allows each student to grow both emotionally and intellectually, all while helping to prepare them for their future.

In addition to our actively involved leadership team, our talented and caring teachers bring their own rich experience, professional expertise and inspiring dedication to our school. Our teachers are the “special sauce” that makes learning fun! We listen to our students and use that knowledge to intentionally design engaging activities and projects designed to elicit the kids’ interest while enabling them to learn new skills and build knowledge.
